We were asked to re-fresh and better establish a new logo for Primrose Cafe. Being one of Bristol’s best-loved cafes – as well as a highly regarded restaurant by night – wanted to update and develop their existing logo.
The chef and owner, Patrick – wanted the new logo to be based upon the existing Victorian style signage but incorporate elements that would indicate the Cafe ‘not being just a cafe’ to potential new customers, as well as be recognisable to his existing clientele.
The typeface remained the same, the stripes and colours reflected the Victoriana feel while ‘Bistro’ described the cafe as ‘more than a cafe’.
The new website had to reflect the updated logo and promote the new developments made within the cafe. The colours and typefaces reflect the new-look logo, while the beautiful photography shows the vibrancy of the cafe by day and the serious restaurant food served at night.
The owners wanted to show their passion for sourcing fresh ingredients and preparing fantastic food from scratch – as well and being proud to be part of the local community.
The website had to show all food menus, a blog to advertise events and interesting articles for ‘foodies’ – all updated regularly. An automated email newsletter also sent to registered customers.
The website was built so that it can be easily updated by our clients. After a short time of virtual training – can update their own site.
